Graduate

The School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation offers a master’s degree in architecture. Fully accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board, the M.Arch involves the development of design solutions in local and global contexts at the scales of site, space and detail. Graduate studies focus on design excellence in studios led by experts in the field and culminate in a graduate design thesis.

At RWU, we pride ourselves on making personal connections. No two architecture programs here are exactly the same. In fact, each student receives a customized program outline for their program upon matriculation.

We also pride ourselves on the breadth of our special activities and programs. In addition to visiting professors, RWU has a teaching firm in residence program that brings professional firms from the region for semester-long seminars and studios. We also believe that all of our students, undergraduate and graduate should learn to bridge the world. That’s why we offer study abroad opportunities for our graduate students, complete with guaranteed internship placements in New Delhi, India; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Beijing, China; and Istanbul, Turkey.
