Center for Advanced Financial Education

The Center for Advanced Financial Education (CAFE) provides “hands on” training in securities analysis and portfolio management while utilizing computerized methodology, by supervising students to manage the Student Investment Management Fund (SIMF).  

It also Increases exposure to career opportunities within the investments industry through field trips to major financial markets throughout the United States and abroad.

International Business Programs

The Gabelli School of Business International Business program assists students in adding a global dimension to their business education. This program:
provides study abroad opportunities to GSB students,

  • Assist international students who participate in an exchange between their university and the School of Business,

  • Host international scholars, and

  • Support the international business curriculum.
Sovereign Bank Center for Business Support

The Center facilitates the formation and advancement of small businesses in the Rhode Island, Connecticut and Southeastern Massachusetts areas and assist existing small businesses in achieving their business goals.

Activities of the Center include:

  • Organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences directly relevant to small and medium-size businesses and non-profit organizations.

  • Providing small and medium size businesses and non-profit organizations with student consulting teams

  • Coordinating student internships and cooperative education assignments for eligible businesses.

  • Providing planning assistance for small businesses.
