Who takes foreign language courses at RWU?
Students study languages at the college-level for various reasons. First, students can select the language major or the language/secondary education dual major. Second, students can select the language minor or core concentration. In addition, students studying abroad are required to take a semester of the language that they will use and often choose to do that here, instead of in their destination country.
Furthermore, students who are pursuing fields that are frequently bilingual, such as criminal justice and construction management, use the electives allowed by their major to develop their language skills. This skill makes them more attractive to potential employers as well as more effective in their workplace.
