This five-day Basic Criminal Investigation Course designed for new law enforcement investigators will cover the investigative mindset; Interview and Interrogation; Identification Procedures; Appropriate Use of the Crime Lab; Legal Issues connected to Search and Arrest Warrants; Crime Scene Legal Issues; Informants, Surveillance and Undercover Work; Forensic Investigations of Cell Phones, Video Footage, Computers and Cyber Crime; Locating and Apprehending Fugitives; Arson Investigation; Victim and Witness Management; NESPIN; and Case Studies. The course will be taught by seasoned law enforcement representatives whom have acquired expertise in each topic of study through education and experience. This course will provide practical advice for police investigators who may be newly assigned and will serve as a refresher for those investigators with previous experience.
