Mr. Krieger has approximately 31 years of experience in the health care setting, most recently as the Quality Management and Privacy Officer for Naval Health Clinic New England. In this role, he is responsible for risk management, Joint Commission accreditation, patient safety, quality management, organizational development, process improvement, customer service, and healthcare privacy. In 1993, Mr. Krieger completed 23 years of active duty with the United States Navy, spending much of that time as a Navy Health Care Administrator. His final military assignment was as a Program Director at the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery in Washington, DC. He has taught courses in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Statistics, and Politics/Government for a variety of colleges over the past 20 years.
Currently, Mr. Krieger teaches Public Policy, Public Financial Management, Public Personnel Administration, and Social/Health Research Methods in the School of Continuing Studies. He has served as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner and RI Quality Award Lead Examiner and is a certified Workplace Mediator. He holds a Bachelors in Healthcare Management, Masters in Public Administration, Masters in Health Administration, and additional doctoral studies in Public Policy and Management. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Medical Administrators.
Highly experienced in teaching and advising adult learners Mr. Krieger is well equipped to serve as adjunct faculty and academic advisor for students seeking to attain an academic degree later in life. A lifelong student, he most recently has been completing seminary courses in theology and Biblical studies.
