The School of Architecture, Art and Historic Preservation in 2007 established an Architecture Teaching Firm in Residence Program that is unique in the United States, Visiting Professorships in Architecture and in Art and Architectural History, and a Visiting Artist Program in Visual Arts Studies, with the intention to bring the highest quality educators and practitioners to the School from the region, the country and abroad in each of our disciplines for semester or yearlong stays. Visitors also offer a public lecture in the SAAHP Public Events series, and often an exhibition as well.
Architecture Teaching Firm in Residence
The Teaching Firm in Residence Program involves two to three lead faculty from a noted firm, in addition to engaging the firm-wide resources as design studio review critics at RWU and at the firm, and in office visits and field trips.
