Elizabeth Hamilton Volpe, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Management at Roger Williams University where she teaches courses in Human Resource Management, Negotiations, Organizational Behavior and Management Principles. Her research focuses on relationships in organizations, women’s careers, and the work-life interface, with a particular interest in understanding how the integration of social networks and identity serve to influence women’s work choices. She has published her work in outlets including Journal of Organizational Behavior, Gender in Management, Group & Organization Management, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology and Research in Careers Series.
Elizabeth earned both her Ph.D. and M.S. in Organization Studies from the Boston College Wallace E. Carroll School of Management, and her B.S. from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. Outside of her academic life, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
