This major will prepare students for a variety of positions in the financial services industry, including positions in insurance companies, mutual fund firms, investment companies, brokerage houses, and banks. The focus of the major is on specific financial institutions, instruments and services.

In addition to satisfying the University Core Curriculum and Business Core requirements, finance majors must complete the following courses:
FNCE 305 Risk Management and Insurance
FNCE 325 Principles of Investments
FNCE 326 Options, Futures and Other Derivatives
FNCE 469 Financial Services Internship
Five 300/400 level Financial Services (FNCE) electives
Electives: 3 total: 2 must be Economics, CIS or non-business courses
The Finance minor provides students with background in financial institutions, instruments, markets, and services, and allows students to select among several electives to best suit their career plans.
