When Noor came to RWU from Bahrain, she decided on Communications as her path. Soon, however, she found a new passion.
“I came in as a communication major and I read that the communication program was a good one. However, I soon discovered that I was more interested in politics, and I also found this area of studies to be more challenging.”
Noor jumped into her new major, pairing it with her extracurricular activities as a Student Senate Parliamentarian and Treasurer of Model U.N. She also worked as an international assistant in the admission office, as an Orientation Advisor and was a resident assistant.
Noor used her time at RWU for both personal and academic growth.
“Because it’s so far away and no one from my country is here, I saw it as a way to grow up and become independent without limits set by cultural influences.”
After graduation, Noor landed an internship at BBC News and is pursuing her passion for broadcast journalism.
