Melisa

Melisa came to RWU as a Secondary Education major, but soon into her college career, she decided to go in a different direction—Higher Education Administration. While it’s not a major we offer, because RWU is small enough, Melisa was able to create her own, truly interdisciplinary major with courses in business, education, anthropology/sociology and psychology. She took internships with RWU administrators, became an RA, was a member of the Multicultural Student Union and SAFE, on the Bias Response Team and a PEER educator. The result?  Melisa had her choice of seven graduate programs, and chose Michigan State—one of the top schools in the country for Student Affairs Administration.
