Spiegel Center for Global and International Programs

Broadly defined, global learning is the infusion or incorporation of international content into curricular and co-curricular programming for the purpose of challenging students to recognize the complexity and volatility of today’s world and to reflect upon their role in it.

The SCGIP actively encourages faculty members to consider the value of introducing international content into their courses. It further believes that while a global perspective can be partly achieved through course work on the Roger Williams University campus, it can be significantly reinforced through course work and experiences in other countries as part of an approved RWU semester or short-term program abroad.

We solicit faculty support in actively encouraging students to take advantage of this profound, often life-transforming learning opportunity.
