University Outreach & Engagement is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with individuals and entities of public and private sectors. We serve as an information resource and a point of contact for members of the community-at-large on behalf of the University. We interface with the public and community leaders to identify and implement programs that benefit both the university and the community. We promote the University as a resource to the state and region. We are about community.
How we serve the University external/internal communities.
We listen. We exchange ideas. We research. We nurture partnerships. We develop niches and new projects that are relevant to the University as well as to Rhode Island. We form strategies. We connect people. We broker resources like talent, experience, and leadership between the University and the community at-large. Thanks to the Town of Bristol/RWU Cooperative Committee the University has incredibly close ties to our local community, and an open venue for discussion and decision making.
The CPC provides project-based assistance to nonprofit organizations, municipalities, government agencies and communities in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, as well as hands-on opportunities for RWU students.
The Business Partnerships Center provides the business community of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts with access to the student, faculty, and staff resources of Roger Williams University.
We nurture the value of community service in our students while meeting the needs of the community by fostering partnerships, encouraging and supporting service learning initiatives, and offering resources and opportunities for civic engagement.
The Center serves as a one-stop shop for all of RWU School of Law's experiential education programs and the hub of public interest law at the University.
