John King came to Roger Williams in 2004 after 12 years at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., and six years at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. Most recently, he served as associate vice president and dean of student affairs at Stonehill, where he coordinated the development and implementation of a first-year seminar. That program was designed to better integrate the curricular and cocurricular experiences of students, both on and off campus. Mr. King has instituted a similar program at Roger Williams.
Mr. King holds two bachelor's degrees from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a master's degree from Plymouth State University in Plymouth, N.H. In 2007, he earned his Ed.D. in higher education administration from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
