RWU Hosts ACE High School Students

November 19th, 2012 by glaramie

Roger Williams hosted over 70 students from ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Mentor Program of Rhode Island.  ACE, housed at the Providence Career and Technical School (Providence) and Blackstone Academy (Pawtucket), is an after-school program providing high school students with an introduction to the design, construction and engineering disciplines.  The program pairs the students with professional mentors from around the state, provides scholarship opportunities and advances preparation for college.

10 RWU students from Architecture, Construction Management and Engineering, including Teresa Campos (current 2nd year architecture) and Matt Bjorklund (current 1st year architecture) – both ACE scholarship recipients – gave campus tours, presented an overview of the programs and answered questions.
