Bryan Apito, M.Arch. ’13, a finalist for prestigious 2013 SOM Prize

Bryan Apito, M.Arch. ’13, has been chosen as one of 8 finalists out of more than 100 applicants for the 2013 SOM Prize. The SOM Foundation awards $50,000 annually for 1st place, and $20,000 for second place. The SOM Prize is a $50,000 research and travel fellowship that enables one outstanding applicant the opportunity to travel in connection with carrying out in-depth research on a subject of their choosing; to meet with other professionals in the field; and to pursue study outside the realm of established pattern.

Apito currently works at Paul Lukez Architects, Somerville, MA, the 2009 Teaching Firm in Residence at RWU. Apito received his BS and Master of Architecture degrees at Roger Williams, and won AIA Rhode Island and Kaestle Boos Scholarship recognitions while a student here.
