Adjunct Professor of Art Tayo Heuser was awarded a 2012 Fellowship at the BAU Institute in Otranto, Italy. The studios are located in the legendary Castle of Otranto. This residency was an opportunity for experimentation and development of Heuser's drawings.
Tayo Heuser’s work was selected for the 2012 Fernelmont Contemporary Art exhibition at the Chateau de Fernelmont in Fernelmont, Belgium. The Fernelmont Contemporay Art exhibition, now in its 5th year and comprised of international artists, has quickly established itself as one of Belgium’s premier art events. Heuser’s sculptural installation at the chateau was influenced by the ocean and its aquatic inhabitants and was purchased by an important private European collection.
