Denny Moers work in DC Fine Art Photography Fair

Visual Arts Studies Adjunct Faculty Denny Moers work is included in the DC Fine Art Photography Fair at the Allan Klotz Gallery at George Washington University, Washington DC, October 2013. The exhibition includes vintage work from Eugene Atget, Harry Callahan, Robert Capa, Andreas Feininger, Robert Heinecken, Lewis Hine, EO Hoppe, Theodore Roszak, Aaron Siskind, Eugene Smith, Josef Sudek Edward Weston and Minor White.

SAAHP Hosts RI HS Art Educators

 The RI Art Education Association (RIAEA), led by Nancy Brandley, hosted their end of Summer Membership Event at the SAAHP on Saturday September 28, including meeting sessions and a figure drawing session. Visual Arts Studies Program Coordinator Michael Rich and Dean Stephen White attended. 

10 Visual Arts Studies students receive $1,000 scholarships from Idalia Whitcomb Charitable Trust

Professor of Justice Studies Tucker Wright has made a gift on behalf of the Idalia Whitcomb Charitable Trust, awarding $1000 scholarships to 10 Visual Arts Studies students for 2013/14. Scholarships were awarded to sophomores Emily Adler, Hailey Martel and Bridget O'Hara; junior Cynthia Rahming, and seniors Shannon Burke, Tess Hitchcock, Amy Malkowski, Thuy-Diem Nguyen, James Payne and Kylie Wyman.
