The Spring 2016 Arch 515 Graduate Architecture Design Studio, “Home and the Senses” led by Teaching Firm in Residence Aamodt/Plumb Architects toured four mid-20th century landmark houses in New Canaan, CT in early February. The studio is particularly interested in how modern residential design can produce emotional responses. Houses visited included:

Evans House (1961), James Evans
Mills House 2, (1956), Willis N. Mills
Aamodt/Plumb’s Isaac Smith led the tour, joined by Historic Preservationist Martin Skrelunas at the Noyes House, and by architect James Evans at the Evans House. The studio trip was featured in Curbed.
