Carranza numerous national and international lectures, exhibitions, scholarly articles

Luis Carranza, Professor of Architecture, has authored, co-authored with Fernando Lara from the University of Texas-Austin, and had their work reviewed in numerous international forums and publications over the past year. In April 2016, he presented a paper at the Society of Architectural Historians Conference, “Beauty and Horror: Slabs and the Cinematic City in Latin America”. In March 2016, he lectured at Auburn University on “Modern Architecture in Latin America: Art, Technology and Utopia”, and authored “How to Embalm Small Animals” and served as General Editor of 3 Stages of Architectural Education. In February, Carranza presented a paper “Race and Miscegenation in 20th Century Mexican Architecture” at Columbia University.
