Anne E. Proctor, Ph.D., 2013/14 Visiting Assistant Professor of Art + Architectural History

Renaissance specialist Anne E. Proctor joins the school as Visiting Assistant Professor of Art and Architectural History for 2013/14. Proctor received her Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Texas-Austin, with her dissertation on “Vincenzo Danti at the Medici Court: Constructing Professional Identity in Late Renaissance Florence.” She received an MA in Art History from Syracuse University, an MA in Education from Harvard University, and her BA magna cum laude from Wellesley College. Proctor has received numerous scholarships and fellowships including a Newberry Consortium Fellowship, a Walter Read Hovey Grant from the Pittsburgh Foundation, the Emily Maverick Miller and Emily Miller Wells Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Art and a Scanlan Endowed Graduate Fellowship in Art History from the University of Texas-Austin.
