Bonder featured on Argentina Public Television

Julian Bonder, Professor of Architecture, was featured on Television Publica National (TPN) in Buenos Aires, Argentina on January 14, 2017, in its international segment: “La construccion de espacios publicos para la memoria” (The Construction of Public Spaces for Memory).
Bonder is regularly involved in conferences and publications on the subject in the US, Europe and South America. He is best known for his design for the Memorial to the Abolition of Slavery in Nantes, France (with Krzystof Wodiczko).

2016 Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society Members

The 2016 new members of RWU’s Beta Tau Chapter of the national Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture and Allied Arts were announced in May 2016. New members include:

ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) Mentor Program visits RWU

Architecture, Construction Management and Engineering departments hosted over 40 high school students who are part of the Rhode Island ACE mentoring Program.  ACE meets in Providence, Pawtucket and Warwick on Wednesday afternoons and pairs the high school students with professional mentors from each of the three disciplines.  This year, Master of Architecture candidates Kelly Papa and Andrew Hernandez (both ACE program alumni) are serving as mentors, and they also organized the field trip to Roger Williams.  In addition to touring the Architecture and Engineering buildings, a panel of current RWU students that including Hernandez, freshmen architecture majors Jonathan Loaiza, Sebastian Moreta and Yoel Langomas (all ACE RI alumni), 5th year architecture major Samatha Moscardelli (also an ACE alum), and second year Construction Management major (and architecture minor) Michael O’Brien, talked about their experiences in college and how the ACE program prepared them for furt
