Network and Internet
IT provides every student's residence hall room with an Ethernet connection to RWU's network and the Internet. Every student also receives an account on the network with a unique user name and password. You may use your account immediately following graduation.
Course websites on Blackboard;
Students also receive an e-mail account with 30 megabytes of secure mail storage. The account is accessible via the myRWU site.
All users of RWU's network are bound by the University's Acceptable Use policy.
Personal Computers
Personal computers can be purchased, maintained, and upgraded with the help of Computopia by visiting http://www.computopia.com/rwu.

Computer Support can be obtained by dialing x5200 and taking option 1.
ResNET Consultants are also available to provide tutorials on the use of supported applications and help with more complex questions. Send a message to helpdesk@rwu.edu to arrange for an appointment.
Public Computing Facilities
IT maintains Academic Technology Services, with Windows and Macintosh computers freely available to the Roger Williams University community. Along with standard software applications, the computers have specialized academic software installed. Some computers feature special equipment such as flatbed and slide scanners.
The Academic Technology Services area has black-and-white and color laser printers available.
