At Roger Williams University, the Public Affairs team in the Department of Marketing & Communications plays a lead role in creating and executing effective public relations strategies to promote two-way conversations between the University and its wide variety of audiences. In short, we’re a team of strategic communicators and storytellers.

On a tactical level, that means we manage a wide variety of communications efforts, including (among others):

  • all outreach and interaction with the external news media, from local to national to international
     
  • the University’s news vehicles – PDQ@RWU, for example
     
  • major publications – including RWU Magazine and the annual President’s Report
     
  • law school communications, from media relations to admissions viewbooks to RWU Law magazine
     
  • emergency communications efforts, in conjunction with the RWU Emergency Response Team
